Sinopse:
Story continues from the Spider-Man vs. Wolverine (1987) one-shot. Finally! The mystery that began over 50 issues ago is at last revealed! Who is the Hobgoblin? Or perhaps better asked now: Who was the Hobgoblin? Sadly the story opens with Ned Leeds’ body being returned to New York following his murder in Berlin. Jonah, Peter, Betty, and Robbie are in shock…and completely oblivious to what really happened to Ned overseas. But the Kingpin knows what took place! He’s furious that the Foreigner and Jack O’Lantern (aka Jason Macendale) made the hit without his approval! To retaliate against Macendale (aka the new Hobgoblin), the Kingpin tells the web-slinger where to find him! And in very short order a new era of Spider-Man vs. Hobgoblin battles begins! Cameo appearances by the Rose, Black Cat, and Flash Thompson.
